This is the talk page of the page notice for List of satellite map images with missing or unclear data.

Notice on sourcing of entries

Per Wikipedia:No original research#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources, please do not add any new entries based only on your personal analysis of satellite maps found online, such as Google Maps, rather than secondary sources discussing satellite imagery.

After looking over the edit history of List of satellite map images with missing or unclear data, I decided that we needed a notice about use of satellite maps as primary sources, which is not as obvious as other types of WP:OR, that is easily visible across the article. This is not a final draft; please share any revisions you might suggest. See also Wikipedia:No original research/Noticeboard#List of satellite map images with missing or unclear data and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of satellite map images with missing or unclear data. To editor LaundryPizza03: there are no entries in that category, which is just a holder for all of its subcategories. And there is no subcategory for "unclassified custom editnotices".
